Do you know that alcohol would actually let the “Alpha” wave sit above the “Delta” wave and it prevents us from entering the Deep Sleep stage. So we really need to avoid having alcohol right before bed.
On average, it takes human body about 1 hour to digest one alcoholic beverage. If you really want to have some alcohol at night, here are the tips you can apply.
Give yourself at least 1 hour for each glass of alcohol you consumed and on top of that, after each glass of alcohol drink a glass of water to prevent dehydration. So for example, if you want to have 2 glasses of wine during dinner, you should drink 2 glasses of water after that and give at least 2 hours before you go to bed, to minimise the impact of alcohol to your sleep.
